The 'claim' that they are space chili's is from a story that 4 types of pepper seeds were taken into space by the Chinese and by doing so, the seeds supposedly are bigger and better. There is no real information on this idea that anything changed. 

I found the seeds to germinate just like any other and no faster or slower. They also grew like all of my other types.
